“Gudhi Padwa”, the first day of the “Chaitra” month in Lunar Hindu calendar is celebrated as a New Year in Maharashtra. Gudhi, the symbol of victory of the ‘Good over Evil’ is hoisted in front of every Maharastrian house and people celebrate bitter-sweet life with offering of Neem leaves and Jaggery with lot of happiness. It also marks the beginning of harvesting season of Rabbi crops in Maharashtra. Maharastrians across the globe celebrate this festival every year with lot of fervor and enthusiasm, so does Maharashtrians in and around Ulm and Neu-Ulm.
This year is going to be special, the Marathi Mandal Ulm/Neu-Ulm is happy to announce a wonderful Marathi Play, ‘Bhondla’ along with few awesome Stand-up comedy shows to be performed by ‘Munich Natyaranga’, a group of Marathi artists on the occasion of this years Gudi Padwa.
